The British Data Awards showcase the UK’s most prominent data success stories and celebrate the brightest minds in data. Now in its fifth edition, Predatech are particularly proud of this year’s range of nominations as they truly emphasise the vibrancy of the UK’s data ecosystem. Not to mention the record-breaking number of nominations submitted, 448 to be precise.
With 29 awards up for grabs, the list of finalists has just been released.
The news is out: we’re delighted to announce that we are a finalist for "SME of the Year".
After winning “Start Up of the Year” in 2024, this nomination is a tremendous achievement. In just two and a half years, Data Literacy Academy has seen exponential growth. Not only have we scaled from a handful of people to a team of over 40 full-time employees, last year we also achieved 153% of our revenue target.

One of the things all successful data initiatives have in common is a visionary, passionate leader steering them from the front. Data champions who lead by example, secure buy-in from the C-Suite, and confidently communicate their objectives with the wider business are essential to building a data-driven culture. The British Data Awards provide the opportunity to celebrate those people who drive innovative solutions towards a data-driven future.
And with that said, another highlight is that our CEO and Founder, Greg Freeman, is also up for an award. He is a finalist for Data Leader of the Year (Supplier).
This year’s British Data Awards will be slightly different for us as Data Literacy Academy is the headline sponsor of this fabulous event. Not only is Greg a finalist, he will also be presenting the awards for ‘Innovation of the Year’, ‘Data for Good Initiative of the Year’ and ‘Data Transformation of the Year’.
